Real Spokane Bride Wedding down the aisle image

October 5, 2018 in Rockford, WA at A Touch of Country

The dress: I made my appointment at Honest in Ivory and I was their second bride ever. The store was not even completed yet. I’ve been fortunate enough to wear many gowns throughout the past few years competing in pageants and thought I knew exactly what I wanted for my wedding gown: fitted, low back, lace, and thin straps. My family urged me to try on a ballgown style, just for fun. The moment I put this dress on, I knew it was the one! It was nothing like I’ve ever worn before and nothing like I thought I wanted – but it was perfect in every way.

The vision for my wedding: I have always wanted to have a fall wedding with a fall foliage color scheme in a country scene. The venue we found came with everything I desired. My sister and I made all of the additional decorations, from centerpieces to the ring box and signage. Besides the venue, the two most important event vendors I wanted were an amazing photographer (since pictures last forever) and a band (to keep people entertained and dancing all night long) - both of which went above and beyond my expectations!!

The vendors:

Venue – A Touch of Country

Photography – Eugene Michael Photography

Videography – Ryan Schorer

Dress – Lulu from Blush by Hayley Paige from Honest in Ivory

Veil – Dia Veil from Sara Gabriel at Honest in Ivory

Band – Kelly Hughes Band

Rings – Jewelry Design Center

Hair – Ashley Riley at Studio 13

Makeup – Jeanene Aagard-Rundgren at Designer’s Edge

Bridesmaid Dresses – Azazie

Groom & Groomsmen Attire – Jos A Bank

Florist – Appleway Florist

Tent – Event Rents

Cake & Mini Pies – Bake Happiness

Food – Tina Marie Bishop Catering

Wine – Merry Cellars

Beer – Total Wine & More

How it went the day of: Everything turned out wonderfully. It was a little chilly, but were prepared for the cold and had heaters and blankets for guests. We also had a live band that kept people dancing and warm throughout the night!

My best advice for Brides to Be: When searching for your dress, keep an open mind – dresses can look completely different on the hanger versus on your body. Also, trust your bridal stylist – they have a wealth of knowledge. For your wedding, and especially on the day of, try not to stress! It’s harder said than done. Soak in every moment because it goes by FAST!
