Eula + Samuel

(June 18, 2022 in Arlee, MT)

Love knows no bounds, and Eula and Samuel proved this to be true on their special day. Their intimate wedding in stunning Arlee, MT was filled with charm, personality, and an undeniable sense of love. From the stunning floral dress Eula wore to the unique touches that made the day truly theirs, every detail of their celebration was thoughtfully planned and beautifully executed. In this blog post, we'll dive into the details of their special day, including the vendors who helped make it possible and the heartfelt moments that will leave you feeling inspired.

By our real bride, Eula:

What was the vision for your wedding?

I was so happy I started a Pinterest board early on, because I was able to incorporate a lot of the ideas I found in my wedding. I didn't really know what I wanted so I highly recommend having a Pinterest to start figuring out your vision, you'll learn what you gravitate towards and make it into a reality on the big day. I also created a "photo ideas" Pinterest board which I sent to my photographer and she carried around my ideas with her throughout the wedding day. I chose my vendors primarily through the Wedding Wire, which i highly recommend getting early on through the planning process.

How did it go the day-of?

Samuel and I are high school sweethearts. We were together for 10 years before we tied the knot in Arlee, MT. The small town of fewer than 1,000 people holds fond moments for us and is the place where our love began when we were 16 and 17.

Our wedding of 150 guests incorporated Filipino wedding traditions such as the unity candle, veil, cord ceremony, and sponsors. During the wedding, the sponsors wore dresses imported from the Philippines custom-made by Ganda Anore Anore.

We also could not think of anything more fitting than Filipino-food for our wedding. We were fortunate to have a close family member, my Tita (aunt) who spent days before the wedding making her scrumptious homemade Filipino dishes for the wedding.

The wedding party consisted of 30+ members and was uniquely hand-picked. The wedding was officiated by my older brother who fought for his life just 2 years ago. The maid of honor role and best man role were given to two people who we have known since they were kids and throughout their whole journey as a couple: the groom’s twin sister and the bride's little brother! We hoped to make this a symbol of the unity of two families as one. The ring bearer was our sweet dog Rhaegar. I also had my mother be my Matron of Honor. My mother spent months creating DIY decorations and the setting up took a village of help from family and friends.

The most memorable moment of the day was when it started to rain during our vows. This particularly stood out to me because I had a dream about the wedding weeks prior, where me and my now husband got soaked during our wedding. In the dream the water got rid of all the anxieties that had built up over the months of planning and this proved to be true as well on the big day. We were nervous as can be but as the rain fell during our vows, it lightened all of the tension from the crowd and I began to cry. I always joke that I waited 10 years to watch Sam cry during the wedding, but I was not prepared to be the main crier on the big day.

The reception consisted of many performances traditional to a Filipino wedding, filled with lots of dancing and karaoke. My bridesmaids and I performed a choreographed dance for the groom and the night concluded with a sparkler exit.

What is your #1 tip to future brides?

Stay organized because the day will go by so fast!

Rely on others for certain things because you're more likely bound to forget details with everything that will be going on.

Invest in your photographer and videographer, because there will be so much they'll capture that you'll miss. Examples: precious photos of your flower girls, ring bearer, and vow bearer all walking in!
