Delaney + Jake

(September 7, 2019 in Colbert, WA)

In todays blog post, we get to hear from our real bride, Delaney! She describes the vision for a rustic and romantic wedding, with a focus on natural elements such as farm-to-table food, rustic wood tables, and greenery. The wedding day had a few minor setbacks but overall was beautiful and perfect. The author's number one tip for future brides is to take a moment during the ceremony and throughout the day to pause and appreciate the beauty of the day and the presence of loved ones.

Delaney was absolutely beautiful on her wedding day in our Elsie gown by Essense of Australia. This is a gorgeous fit and flare gown with lace and tulle over an organza skirt. A plunging v-neckline is mirrored by a deep open back framed by dainty lace straps. The floral appliques scattered throughout the skirt accentuate the gorgeous train for a romantic feel.

By our real bride, Delaney:

What was the vision for your wedding?

Our vision was rustic and romantic. We knew we wanted an indoor/outdoor wedding to avoid problems if it rained the day of. We also wanted to focus on natural elements such as farm-to-table food and rustic wood tables for reception seating with lots of greenery and garlands. Trezzi Farm Winery fit perfectly with what we had envisioned. The venue alone is beautiful enough but paired with the romantic white flowers and sweet lavender, my vision came to life.

How did it go the day-of?

Our wedding day wasnt perfect. It came with a few problems and setbacks but none that were major. At the end of the day, my husband and I could not stop smiling! It was a beautiful sunny day (thank goodness), and we were so pleased with all of our vendors. Every time we took a look around at our family and friends surrounding us, it was only smiles and laughter that we saw. It was truly the perfect day.

What is your #1 tip to future brides?

My #1 tip would be to make sure you and your hubby pause every once in a while during your wedding (especially the ceremony) and just take a look around you at your beautiful day and all your friends and family that are there to celebrate with you. The day will go by so fast so it's really nice to be able to just stop and take it all in! Those little memories will stick with you forever.
