This blog post shares the vision of a wedding that was centered on celebrating love and bringing together friends and family. The bride wanted the day to be less about achieving a specific look and more about cherishing moments with loved ones. The day-of the wedding went smoothly with the help of a great team, though there were a few hiccups along the way. The author advises future brides to take time to relax and be present with their partner and guests, and to carve out space for activities that bring joy and grounding on the big day.

Lauren looked absolutely stunning in our Aria gown by Willowby. This is an A-line fit that hits right at the natural waist and then flows into a skirt made of the softest English netting tulle. The bodice has a sweetheart neckline with a high illusion. Gorgeous floral lace covers the bodice and the back of the bodice going into a v-shape creates a beautiful moment.

What was the vision for your wedding?

A time of celebration with friends and family! I wanted my big day to be more about people and our marriage than a certain look. Thankfully, I had a ton of support from amazing friends and family and they were ultimately the ones who made the day beautiful and a delight.

How did it go the day-of?

The day-of went so smoothly! I would say that nothing went awry, but that would be too good to be true ( two people managed to catch themselves/ their tables on fire with the candles at our reception tables ... thankfully no one was hurt). Every part of the day was such a joy! I had an amazing team that helped me bring my dreams and plans into reality. I will always hold this day in my heart and cherish the moment I stood beside the love of my life and committed to loving him for the rest of my life.

What is your #1 tip to future brides?

Carve out time to actually enjoy time with your future husband and the people who have gathered to celebrate. Take time to RELAX and be present.  The first thing I did on the morning of the wedding was get coffee with Ben, my husband at our favorite coffee shop. It was a sweet time to talk and pray together before all of the busyness began. I would also recommend trying to find some space at your wedding to do something you enjoy and find peace and grounding.
