Tin-Yan + Chris

(August 13, 2021 in Spokane, WA)

Our real bride Tin-Yan looked stunning in our Etta gown on her wedding day, which perfectly captured her vision of fairy-tale elegance meets old Shanghai. Her unique vision was a seamless incorporation of both Western and Eastern cultures to represent her and her husband's relationship. The dress was a perfect fit for the occasion, with its heavenly layered look, plunging neckline, shoestring straps, and triple-strap feature around the open back. The day of the wedding was full of fun and meaningful moments, including a traditional Chinese ceremony and connecting with her family in Hong Kong through technology. Tin-Yan's #1 tip for future brides is to do what you want because it's your day and to hire a wedding coordinator.

By our real bride, Tin-Yan:

What was the vision for your wedding?

My vision was fairy tale elegance meets old Shanghai. I knew I wanted to seamlessly incorporate both Western and Eastern cultures in my wedding and to tie all the elements together. With the drastic differences of cultures, I wanted them to be in harmony to represent Chris and I's relationship. Two cultures can still merge with each other effortlessly, with compassion and understanding for each other.

How did it go the day of?

I just love all the fun we had. The decorations and the atmosphere were just on point. We held a traditional Chinese ceremony as well which was so meaningful to us. We were also able to connect with my family in Hong Kong in spite of COVID, with the help of technology.

What is your #1 tip to future brides?

Just do what YOU want. This is YOUR day. Also, hire a wedding coordinator!
